BUSINESS JOURNAL: A PLACE TO CELEBRATE WINS & REFLECT - 78TH EDITION

June’s highlights included creating a custom illustration for the Museum Store Association, contributing to a project with the Design Museum of Chicago, enjoying summertime in both Chicago and Milwaukee, putting new stickers into production, and attending a few Choose Chicago events.

The Big Wins

  1. Created a custom illustration for the MSA Forward 2027 Conference. As part of my payment, I got a vendor membership to the Museum Store Association, which I am excited to get involved with again. I was previously a member from 2022-2024.

  2. Worked on new sticker designs for the Field Museum and Museum of Science and Industry. These new concepts are currently in review and I hope to bring them to life soon.

  1. Submitted a flag design to the Design Museum of Chicago’s Flag Feast Project which will be displayed at Taste of Chicago. I also attended their NeoCon After Party celebrating this year’s recipients of the Designing a Better Chicago grant program at Secrist Beach.

  2. Enjoyed Summertime in Chicago. We saw Kinky Boots twice and Water for Elephants, watched Jurassic Park in a friend’s backyard, stopped by Chicago Blues Fest, enjoyed two nights of the Summer Music Series in Millennium Park, caught two FemCom grad shows at The Lincoln Lodge, attended Stout Collective’s 10th Anniversary Party, went to Make & Co’s mural launch party at Cleo’s, celebrated friends at their wedding in Logan Square, attended Chicago’s 55th Annual Pride Parade, indulged in sundaes at Longman & Eagle every Monday, and enjoyed two days of the Logan Square Arts Festival in our neighborhood.

  3. Spent quality time with friends, including a handful who were in town from California, Florida, and England.

  4. Worked on another project with Adobe. Got a new headshot from Adrian Walker that was taken at the Creative Retreat last month.

  5. Went to Milwaukee twice for Summerfest and to celebrate Father’s Day. We enjoyed seeing Passion Pit, Hunny, Dora Jar, Grouplove, and The Revivalists.

  6. Attended the All for the Love of Chicago Roundtable at 360 CHICAGO. I got to enjoy the Tilt experience and get inspired to create some new Chicago souvenirs. I also attended Choose Chicago’s Mid-Year Outlook event.

  7. Put custom prints into production for The Second City! This project came from attending The Summit Chicago in April and the design was part of my 100 Days of Chicago project.

  8. Put some new sticker designs into production, which included a new Hyde Park sticker as the Obama Presidential Center opened officially this month and a new Washington, D.C. collection.

June was another full month, but I really made time for enjoying all that Summertime in Chicago has to offer. I’ve been working on some larger projects behind the scenes. I am excited for a few opportunities that are in the early stages of becoming something really exciting and special.

In July, I’m looking forward to continued progress on projects, a quick visit to Washington, D.C. and continuing to enjoy summertime in Chicago. If you want to work together in the second half of 2026, please reach out. I am continuing to prioritize wholesale, custom merchandise design, and branding.
