Immersing oneself in unfamiliar environments stimulates the senses and fuels creativity, providing a fresh perspective and a wealth of new experiences to draw upon. From the vibrant colors of a bustling open-air market to the rhythmic melodies of a foreign language, every aspect of travel has the potential to ignite our creative spirit.

Additionally, encountering diverse art forms, architectural marvels, and natural wonders serves as a constant reminder of the vastness and beauty of the world, encouraging us to continually push the boundaries of our own imagination. For me, travel nurtures a sense of curiosity, fosters cultural understanding, and encourages personal growth. In short, travel serves as creative fuel.

Travel to international destinations like Spain, Italy, Morocco, Germany, Portugal, England, Ireland, Denmark, and Mexico and domestic destinations across the Midwest and beyond, have influenced much of my creative work. Travel is a personal priority and working more in the aviation space has been a longtime goal since moving to Chicago, so I felt it was time to have a specific collection of stickers to reflect these passions and hobbies of mine. I also know there are a lot of fellow travel-lovers in my community and beyond.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Chelsie Tamms is an artist, educator, and entrepreneur. She founded Lettering Works in 2016, combining her love of hand-lettering with her expertise in marketing. Since then, she’s grown her business to offer custom branding packages, courses for artists, and wholesale products and merchandise—all with the mission to bring more creativity into her community and beyond. She is especially drawn to cause-driven projects surrounding mental health, chronic illness, and underrepresented communities.
