Passion Project: Hand Letter West Main

Hand Letter West Main Collaboration

Local creatives, Chelsie & Sarah, beautified West Main Street through creatively updating handwritten signage in local businesses’ storefronts and show the difference intentional design can make through professional photography.

The project was recognized and shared by local news outlets including WMBD TV, the Peoria Journal Star, and Peoria Magazines.

Here’s a closer look at the before and after shots that Sarah Waldo captured:

HAND LETTER GARFIELD

Following the success of Hand Letter West Main, Chelsie and Sarah spoke to Limestone Community High School's commercial arts class last August. They shared insights about creative entrepreneurship and passion projects with the students. Drawing inspiration from Hand Letter West Main, students in the art class replicated the project in their own community.
