The Big Wins

  1. Kicked off celebrations of 10 years in business with a $10 online course sale. March 10th marked exactly 10 years since the successful funding of my Kickstarter for Just my Type of Lettering, the book that started it all.

  2. Created a new Chicago Souvenir wholesale catalog, updated my Chicago Souvenir pitch video and refreshed the Souvenirs page on my website. I also shared an updated pinned introduction post on Instagram.

  1. Worked on custom designs for the Driehaus Museum, and added four new custom magnets to the Chicago History Museum’s gift shop. I also made progress on a project that is under NDA and onboarded a new branding client.

  2. Created an updated Avondale design for the street pole banners which will be used alongside my Logan Square design that was previously featured on the cover of the Community Guide for 2025. These designs are also available as stickers

  3. Worked on finishing some designs inspired by America’s 250th birthday. If you’re interested in taking a look before I launch them, please reach out!

  4. Improved my Faire listings and joined Faire+. I am hopeful that joining Faire+ will open me up to increased wholesale opportunities with larger retailers.

  5. Added my newest collaborative sticker. I collaborated with Débora Figueiredo, an artist in Portugal; she did the illustration and I did the lettering.

  6. Completed five more stickers in my series of 10 stickers to celebrate 10 years in business. I’m dreaming up some fun happy mail to share with current and past clients. Let me know if you’d like me to send you one.

  7. Installed wooden signs at Jenny G’s Art Supply. Additionally, you can now find select wooden signs available for purchase at Penny Lane Studios in Logan Square, the Chicago History Museum in Lincoln Park, Paperish Mess in West Town. Or custom order any of my 24 designs via my website here

  8. Put more enamel pins into production. My currently out-of-stock Chicago Pizza and Chicago Skyline pins are coming back next month, in part thanks to Choose Chicago, who ordered some for an upcoming trade show.

  9. Planned a quick trip to Peoria for April’s First Friday. I will be in Peoria on April 3rd and giving an artist talk at the Contemporary Art Center about my piece that is included in the Art on the Offense show.

March was another full month and I’m excited about all the progress I made on all that I’m working on - both for clients and internally.

In April, I’m looking forward to more progress on all of my open projects and warmer weather in Chicago. If you want to work together in 2026, please reach out. I will be prioritizing wholesale, custom merchandise design, and branding.

Thank you for being here, for supporting me, and for following along with my entrepreneurial journey.
