The Big Wins

  1. Attended the Adobe Design Community Summit in San Francisco alongside 30 talented artists and designers. Highlights included reconnecting with friends from last year’s Illustrator Summit in NYC and Adobe MAX in Miami Beach as well as making new friends and providing feedback to the Adobe team on what’s coming next. Check out my blog post filled with some photos I took while in SF here.

  2. Launched the Read More wooden sign and put some additional wooden and neon signs into production! I’m especially excited to provide two art-centric signs to my high school’s art department.

General Updates + Accomplishments:

  • Cohosted my first Sunnyside Chats at Indigo and Violet Studio as I am subbing for Andi again while she is on maternity leave. We meet the first Wednesday of the month and welcome any small business owners who would like to workshop solutions among the most supportive group!

  • Shared designs for Cocokind in hopes of getting their attention for a collaboration (or winning a spot at their brand trip). Feel free to tag them in my post here to support my creative outreach efforts.

  • Added some new stickers to my growing collection, including a new “Make More Art” design, artist sticker sheet, and “Support Your Local Everything.” As always, you can shop wholesale via Faire or directly at letteringworks.com/shop.

  • Traveled to Port Royal, South Carolina to visit a friend where we had a special wedding tour dinner. We also spent a weekend in Milwaukee with family.

  • Officially launched my latest passion project - Real Businesses, Reimagined featuring a Jitterbug Sweets rebrand. Check out the blog post here.

  • Presented at the Adobe Create Now event at the School of the Art Institute where I shared my career journey and the power of passion projects as well as provided career advice to many eager-to-learn students. I also spoke on a panel earlier in the month at Columbia College with Daniel about our experiences freelancing.

  • Restocked custom Alice in Wonderland stickers for Atlanta Botanical Garden as well as a few stickers for Garfield Park Conservatory, Fleur, Souvenir City Chicago, and more. I added another museum, the Hagley Museum, to my list of retailers, as well.

  • Attended EXPO Chicago at Navy Pier, Cosmic Country Showcase Concert, a DCASE Open House at the Chicago Cultural Center, and two musicals: Moulin Rouge and Titianique.

  • Joined the Logan Square Chamber of Commerce and provided them with some new Logan Square stickers. I’ll be sharing the cover design for the 2025 community guide next month when it goes live!

  • CanvasRebel shared an interview about my life and work. Read it here or check out my other press features. I also recorded a podcast episode with Pascale for Dear Creative Mind.

April was filled with everything from wholesale restocks to more work with Adobe to time with family and friends to walks in the neighborhood as the weather warmed up to new stickers and just a bit of painting and sketching in between. Believe it or not, I didn’t have any design projects this month.

In May, I’m excited to work on refining my messaging with my new mentor and lining up some new creative work as well as celebrate one year of marriage (how has it almost been a full year already?!) Reach out if you’d like to work together, I am continuing to prioritize new branding and logo projects as well as custom merchandise and wholesale projects. I am also accepting requests via my Artist Trade Program on a rolling basis.

Thank you for being here, for supporting me, and for following along with my entrepreneurial journey.

PS - Have a project you’d like to chat about? Send me the details now to ensure your project gets on my calendar in 2025. Bring on all the logos, branded merchandise, + brand identity projects… let’s make some beautiful + impactful things together.
