Time in Chicago is flying by and we’ve got a couple big updates as well as some general updates of what has been happening in the Windy City.

While in Las Vegas for the Brand New Conference, I spent time walking through the incredible sign collection at the Neon Museum. The most impressive aspects were the sheer size, scale, and detail work in each of the forgotten neon signs.

It’s no secret that networking is hard work. It is hard to put yourself out there, find the right events that lead to meaningful connections, and figure out how to convert connections into paying clients. A recent Sunnyside Chats Workshop led by Thyannda Mack provided some key takeaways to improve your networking strategy.

Lettering Works’ new City Collection currently includes designs representing fourteen cities: St. Louis, Las Vegas, Peoria, Milwaukee, Bloomington-Normal, Seattle, Des Moines, Indianapolis, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Boston, Phoenix, Cleveland, and New York.

Before production of 309 Cultures fermented blends began, owner Joe Zich approached Lettering Works. He knew that the branding and packaging would be key for a successful launch and help his products stand out on the shelves.

New owners, Debbie and Randy Bassette, purchased Bartonville’s “The Local” bar and restaurant with plans to transform it into a more upscale bistro. They approached Lettering Works to create a new brand showcasing the new name and vibe.

Bradley is home to a bright new spirit mural, thanks to a special collaboration between the university and Lettering Works. I couldn’t be more excited to bring a pop of color, illustration, and lettering to the wall outside of the bookstore.
