New Website!

Why Keep Your Website Up to Date?

A common mistake I see small businesses and artists make with their websites is building it and forgetting it. Meaning, they launch a beautiful website one time, and rarely revisit it for a robust refresh. There are countless reasons to keep your website up-to-date including making a great impression, giving visitors a reason to come back, increasing your chances at ranking in search engines, and keeping it reflective of where you are at in business. We’ve all seen a “Latest News” section that has it’s most recent item dated from the previous year. Even if it’s subconscious, it often affects the way we perceive the business and their relevance.

Full disclosure, I am NOT a professional web designer or developer. While I did take a web design course in college, I reserve my web design skills for my own website (built on Squarespace if you’re wondering) and the very occasional client project. It’s important to share that web design is expensive - and it should be - because a lot goes into it. Pro tip if you are designing your own website: have a professional web designer or developer on call for any major issues you run into. You can often pay an hourly rate to address your biggest pain points and ensure your website turns out professionally.

What’s New with the Lettering Works Website?

Lettering Works’ new website is completely restructured with your user experience and needs in mind. Simplified content helps you know exactly where to go for the information you need. As with any website, it is a work-in-progress that will be continuously evolving over time. If you have any feedback or things you’d like to see, please send me a message.

Home page

The new Home page highlights our main four offerings, a brief introduction to the creative behind the business (that’s me!), our mission, who our services are perfect for, and next steps for working together. It’s more informational than the previous homepage which can still be accessed through the secondary navigation’s Portfolio at the bottom of the page.

Main Offerings Pages

Lettering Works’ four main offerings are custom brand development, custom art + lettering, designs for a cause, and quality art products. Each offering has it’s own page which details relevant project examples, benefits, information on the investment for those services, and next steps.

Press Page

While this page existed before, it was tucked away in the About page and now has it’s own dedicated page. This highlights all press features and interviews we’ve had over our four years in business.

Additional Testimonials

These are still tucked away in the About page and a couple are included at the end of the Custom Brand Development page.

Passion Projects

Our three most popular passion projects, Cool Beans, Steph’s Stickers, and Unpolished Press still have their own pages and are linked above the footer navigation under “Passion Projects to Check Out.”
