The week of June 7th - we held a fun NCAA-style competition over on Instagram to help determine what designs to turn into stickers and other merchandise. All designs were hand-lettered and illustrated by Chelsie Tamms and community a variety of topics related to disability pride and ableism.

The Winning Design: Disability Pride Flowers

Of the 16 options that went up for voting, the hand-drawn Disability Pride with flowers won the title! The design has “Disability” in cursive and “PRIDE” in all caps and rainbow colors. The lettering is surrounded by hand-drawn leaves and flowers, as well as some dots.

This design represents the collection well and will be available for purchase as an individual sticker. The next most popular designs (Disability Pride Butterfly, Work Your Quirk, You are Enough, and Access is Love) will be sold as a sticker pack. These stickers are now available for preorder via our shop.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Chelsie Tamms is an award-winning lettering artist and designer based out of Chicago. She is the owner of Lettering Works, a branding studio that connects businesses to their audience through creativity and strategy. With over 10 years of practice of lettering and design, Chelsie is passionate about craft and intention. When she’s not designing, she can be found eating ice cream, traveling internationally, or starting a new passion project.

Chelsie has scoliosis and had a spinal fusion surgery at age 14, as well as Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD).
