New Workshop: Brand Your Band

Sarah Marie Dillard of Sarah and the Underground and Chelsie Tamms of Lettering Works join forces to share keys to branding a band with local musicians.

In the two-hour workshop, attendees will learn about the elements that create a brand, how to channel their passion into a brand identity, and how to build an authentic brand for themselves and their band.

The presentation is inspired by Chelsie’s popular “Are You on Brand? Authentically Branding Your Passion” session from the Business of Art Conference, put on by ArtsPartners each February. This workshop will be specifically geared towards musicians and actionable ways to build a brand. Sarah and Chelsie were both committee members for planning the 2019 conference and have worked together creating promotional materials for Sarah and the Underground’s Album Release Show at the end of 2018.

The workshop was inspired by a desire to help provide a foundation and education for young female artists in the Peoria community, although the event is open to all musicians and aspiring musicians. Both Sarah Marie Dillard and Chelsie Tamms are active in Peoria’s arts community and strive to be role models for aspiring musicians and business owners.
